Anybody heading to the Northland Field Days in Dargaville on March 1-3 will have more than ever to do and see this year.
Organisers have put together a wide and varied program with all the events of previous years plus brand new events and attractions to ensure there is something for everybody of every age.
Some of the more exciting events included lawn mower races, a tractor pull, chainsaw carving, quad skills, the junior tractor pull, sheepdog trials, and fire and police service demonstrations.
With a prize pool of more than $2000 Northland Field Days President Lew Duggan said that the tractor pull should prove to be a big drawcard for many.
That kind of money attracts serious competition and the Northland Field Days has always attracted some of the top tractor drivers from all around the country, said Mr Duggan.
He said this was only the tip of the iceburg with equestrian events, a creche and helicopter rides also available.
It doesn’t matter what you’re interested in, there will be something for you at the 2012 Northland Field Days, said Mr Duggan.
